Pros

  • Fast and free transfers to VISA card

Cons

  • Confusing fee structure
  • Limited crypto options

The SpectroCoin Pro exchange is an option for casual crypto investors. The exchange is not the best in terms of coins available and staking options, but having quick transfer functions to a VISA card is a nice advantage for people who want to spend their cryptos wherever VISA is accepted.

Spectrocoin Pro Review

SpectroCoin Wallet also offers a cryptocurrency VISA card. You can transfer directly between platforms free and instantly. This is a huge added convenience as you will be able to spend your cryptocurrencies anywhere VISA is accepted worldwide. It is great to have this connected to your exchange and your wallet, all of which SpectroCoin offers.

Check out our SpectroCoin wallet review and our SpectroCoin card review.

Spectrocoin Pro Review

SpectroCoin Pro at the moment lacks any option for staking, earn to learn, or other forms of passive income. Many exchanges allow you to earn a bit of extra coins while the exchange holds onto your investment.

It would be nice to have some extra forms to earn money here. Many will offer a collection of welcome bonuses, or a type of academy that pays you to learn about different cryptocurrencies.

Spectrocoin Pro Review

For trading fees, there are three groups at SpectroCoin Pro. Each one has its own maker and taker fee associated with it.

In the first group, you will find just one crypto: BNK. This crypto has neither a maker nor a taker fee.

The second group is the largest and includes the other cryptocurrencies on the site. Here the taker fee is 0.1%, and the maker fee is -0.05%. Here are the currencies in this group:

  • DASH
  • XEM
  • BTC
  • ETH
  • USDT
  • XRP
  • XLM
  • LTC
  • ZEC
  • USDP
  • TUSD
  • USDC
  • WBTC
  • LINK
  • DAI
  • UNI
  • MKR
  • AAVE
  • COMP
  • ZRX
  • BAT
  • SUSHI
  • ALGO
  • EOS
  • SHIB
  • MATIC
  • MANA
  • UMA
  • HOT
  • CHZ
  • GRT
  • SNX
  • ENJ

The last group is composed of the first currencies USD, GBP, and EUR. Here the maker and taker fees are -0.1% and 0.1% respectively.

Any trading pair with BNK will have the first group’s fees. If both currencies are within group 2, then you will have those fees, and any trading pair with EUR, USD, or GBP will have group 3’s fees.

Withdrawal fees are also highly variable at SpectroCoin Pro. The BTC withdrawal fee starts at 0.0006 which is ever so slightly above the industry average at 0.00059. You can choose to pay a higher fee to speed up the BTC withdrawal.

A customer support agent informed me that the withdrawal fees for ETH, LTZ, XEM, USDT, XLM will vary depending “on the blockchain workload, amount you send, and algorithm.”

Other examples of withdrawal fees at SpectroCoin Pro include:

  • 0.0001 DASH
  • 0.16% of ALGO
  • 0.048 AAVE
  • 0.61 LINK

It is unusual for an exchange to charge a deposit fee, but with a few currencies, there is a deposit fee here. With XLM, XRP, ALGO, EOS, ZEC, and LTC, there is a 0.15% deposit fee.

As of this writing (May 2022), SpectroCoin Pro supports 37 different currencies.

For casual investors who want to buy just the largest and best-known cryptos, then you will be fine here. But if you want to grab the lesser-known or recently released cryptos, you will be better off at another exchange.

SpectroCoin Pro supports a lot of deposit methods. Before signing up, make sure you can access at least one of the following deposit methods:

  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • Payeer
  • Perfect Money
  • Advcash
  • SEPA bank transfer
  • Local bank transfer
  • International wire
  • Credit or debit card
  • Pacific Private Bank
  • GK Bank
  • Mobile top-ups
  • Amazon Gift Card
  • Vouchers

The SpectroCoin Pro exchange is widely available around the world. Unfortunately, they do not currently accept US investors. They do accept users from most of Europe, Canada, South Korea, and nearly 200 additional countries.

Spectrocoin Pro is not for people who are deeply in the crypto space. And their lack of support for non-fungible tokens follows in this line. This exchange does not have an NFT marketplace or a way to store them in your SpectroCoin wallets.

NFTs are not an essential part of crypto trading, but if you think they will form part of your crypto portfolio, this exchange will not be able to help you.

SpectroCoin Pro follows KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) protocols. You will be asked to upload an identity document and a selfie. This builds trust and keeps your identity safer.

SpectroCoin Pro has a high level of community trust. As of this writing (M;ay 2022), SpectroCoin Pro has 4.3 /5 stars on Trustpilot, indicating quite a nice level of trust from its users.

Having been around since 2013, this is longer than most other blockchain businesses. If they have maintained this level of community trust, then that is a good sign!

Spectrocoin Pro Review

You can download the SpectroCoin app via the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. The app is called SpectroCoin Wallet but also houses the exchange in the same app.

SpectroCoin Pro is for someone who wants the basic crypto investment opportunities and quick access to those funds via a VISA card. It is not available in the United States. It is a trusted and well-rounded if simple, exchange, wallet, and debit card.
