On Wednesday, the Arbitrum team announced via X that Merchants can now accept crypto payments via WalletConnect Pay directly on Arbitrum. Together, WalletConnect Pay and Arbitrum enable global crypto and stablecoin payments that fit directly into existing PSP stacks, without introducing new operational complexity.
Accepting crypto payments on Arbitrum with WalletConnect Pay supports a wide range of real-world commerce use cases:
-
E-commerce checkout using stablecoins
-
In-store payments via QR-based wallet checkout
-
Cross-border payments and remittances
Arbitrum support allows PSPs and merchants to offer onchain payments wherever their customers are, without changing how payments operate today.
