A trading cryptocurrency guide must provide reviews of all of the top crypto exchanges out there, so that you can find the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you. This review of Qryptos consists of four parts: general information, fees, deposit methods and security.
Qryptos is a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange and is thus in the country company of e.g. Bitbank.
Qryptos does not list US-investors as prohibited from trading, but US-investors should do their own independent assessment of any problems arising from their residency or citizenship. In a worst-case scenario, they may not be able to trade at one or several exchanges that could be the best cryptocurrency exchange site for them.
Qryptos Trading View
Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. Before you choose an exchange, try to have a look at the trading view so that you can ascertain that it feels right to you. The below is a picture of the trading view at Qryptos:
Qryptos Trading fees
The trading fees for takers charged by this trading platform are 0.15%. This fee is slightly below the industry average. The industry average is arguably around 0.25%. The fee thus constitutes a competitive advantage against the majority of other top crypto exchanges in the market. But it doesn’t stop there. It’s Qryptos maker fees that are really astonishing.
Qryptos does not charge any fees for makers. They pay the makers. Its trading fees for makers is a negative -0.075%. This means that if you are a maker in an order worth USD 100,000, you will receive USD 750 upon completion of the order. To our knowledge, there are only five other exchanges in the world with negative maker fees. Only one exchange in the world has a bigger negative maker fee than Qryptos (Cryptox, -0.1%).
The negative maker fee is naturally a very strong competitive edge in the market and is especially beneficial for the investors not interested in picking up existing orders from the order book but rather prefers to “go fishing” with maker-orders.
Qryptos Withdrawal fees
Also, this exchange does not charge any withdrawal fees at all for withdrawing BTC. This is also a very strong competitive edge in the market and really distinguishes Qryptos from most other top crypto exchanges.
This trading platform does not accept any other deposit method than cryptocurrencies, so new crypto investors are actually restricted from trading here. If you don’t have any crypto but want to start trading at this exchange, you will first have to purchase cryptocurrencies from another exchange and then, as a second step, deposit them at this exchange. You can easily find an exchange accepting deposits via wire transfer or credit card in our cryptocurrency exchange list.
The exchange reviewed above had (before being replaced by Liquid) a large number of cryptos you could trade. If a large number of cryptos is an important factor for you in your choice of exchange, you could also check out the following active exchanges:
