A trading cryptocurrency guide must provide reviews of all of the top crypto exchanges out there, so that you can find the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you. This review of ExcambioRex consists of four parts: general information, fees, deposit methods and security.
UPDATE 5 November 2018: It has been brought to our attention that customers at this exchnage have had issues with their withdrawals of Bitcoin. The exchange’s customer service has been unresponsive. Please keep this in mind when considering opening up an account with this exchange.
UPDATE 15 July 2019: This exchange has disappeared and is nowhere to be found. We have marked it as a dead exchange and moved it to our Exchange Graveyard.
ExcambioRex is cryptocurrency exchange registered in Singapore. Singapore is one of Asia’s biggest birth givers to cryptocurrency exchanges. There are SO many. If we would mention only one of them (gun to our head), it would be Coinut that has received a lot of praise from the crypto community lately.
This exchange only offers trading in a quite limited number of trading pairs. This means that the exchange is not a suitable choice for people interested in the less established cryptocurrencies (Zatgo Token, Ultracoin, Triggers Coin, Sequence Token, Cryptonex Coin, or coins of roughly the same size). If you want to sell or buy any such smaller cryptocurrency, you’ll have to choose another trading platform that you can find by the help of the Exchange Finder.
ExcambioRex does not list US-investors as prohibited from trading, but US-investors should do their own independent assessment of any problems arising from their residency or citizenship.
This exchange thoroughly promotes its fast execution, and states that they have a trading engine capable of processing thousands of transactions per second with “real-time prices, live charts and various charting tools with a very user-friendly interface”. Those are all nice words but it just seems like regular exchange features to us.
ExcambioRex Trading View
Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. Before you choose an exchange, try to have a look at the trading view so that you can ascertain that it feels right to you. Unfortunately, we have not been able to obtain a view of the trading interface at this trading platform. The parts of the website that you can trade at were off limits for us, as the security certificate of the page was no longer valid. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The following languages are supported at the exchange. If you’re a native in any of those languages and prefer when your trading platform has your native language, congratulations:
ExcambioRex Trading fees
This Singaporean trading platform doesn’t charge different fees between takers and makers. Their fee model is instead something called a “flat fee model”. Their fees are 0.25% per trade. For investors who prefer to pick-up existing orders from the order book, this might be an attractive trading fee model.
ExcambioRex Withdrawal fees
This exchange charges a withdrawal fee amounting to 0.10% when you withdraw cryptocurrencies. This is an unusual withdrawal fee model. Most exchanges have a fixed withdrawal fee, regardless of the size of the withdrawn amount. In addition to this exchange, only the following have percentage based withdrawal fees (from lowest to highest): FatBTC (0.05%), BitINKA (0.15%), RippleFox (0.20%), BCEX (0.50%), DOBI Trade (0.50%), iCE3 (0.50%) and Trustdex (1.00%).
With the fee model that this exchange has, when you withdraw small amounts, it is beneficial to you. If you withdraw 0.01 BTC, the withdrawal fee becomes 0.00001 BTC (extremely low). However, if you withdraw 10 BTC, the withdrawal fee becomes 0.01 BTC (extremely high).
This trading venue offers wire transfer as a deposit method, but you can’t deposit via credit card.
ExcambioRex’s security score is F, when performing the test at Observatory by Mozilla (https://observatory.mozilla.org/). This is below industry average when it comes to top crypto exchanges.
The exchange reviewed above is what we call an “entry-level exchange”. This means that this exchange also makes it possible for someone to enter the cryptocurrency market with fiat currency. There are numerous entry-level exchanges out there, including (but not limited to):
