On Tuesday, the Sui Foundation announced via a blog post that LayerZero will integrate Sui, unlocking cross-chain liquidity and interoperability for builders and users alike.
The integration will enable assets to expand both into Sui and outward from Sui through standardized connectivity. Across the broader crypto ecosystem, the Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard already powers 400+ assets worth $80B+ like WBTC, PYUSD, USDT0, and more, which can expand to Sui as well.
This integration will streamline how tokens reach Sui, enabling OFT-compatible assets to be issued natively on Sui. Furthermore, developers will be able to tap into liquidity and assets from across the entire blockchain landscape, including many Bitcoin-based assets, Ethereum, and Solana.
Sui is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to provide top-notch developer and user experiences backed by robust technological foundations. SUI is down 0.9% in the last 24 hours, trading at $3.233 per coin.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol designed to facilitate seamless communication between different blockchains. It aims to create a unified, interconnected blockchain ecosystem where assets and data can move freely across various networks. ZRO trades at $1.928, down 9.4% in the last 24 hours.
