On Tuesday, the PancakeSwap team announced via a blog post that PancakeSwap Infinity is now live on the Base blockchain. PancakeSwap Infinity is a major upgrade of the PancakeSwap DEX platform, built to meet the needs of a wide range of DeFi participants. 

The upgrade features:

  • Dual Pool Types for different liquidity styles

  • Customizable, dynamic fees powered by smart contract “Hooks.”

  • Gas-saving tech to keep fees low

  • Open-source code for builders to innovate freely

Furthermore, BASE liquidity providers can pick from two pool types:

  • CLAMM (Concentrated Liquidity AMM): Provide liquidity within a price range, boost capital efficiency, and reduce slippage. Great if you want hands-on control.

  • LBAMM (Liquidity Book AMM) offers a simpler experience with zero price impact trades. Liquidity is placed in bins, and trades within each bin happen without changing the price.

PancakeSwap is a BNB Chain-based decentralized exchange (DEX) with an automated market maker (AMM) model for swapping BEP-20 tokens. CAKE is up 2.2% today and is currently trading at $2.821.
