The MultiversX team announced via X on Wednesday that it is preparing to upgrade the mainnet to Sirius. This upgrade will provide MultiversX with a wide range of features including Optimized Consensus Signature Check, Refactor Resolvers, and Multikey Support.
Other features that would be added to the network include PubKeyConverter Refactor, Peers Rating Handler Fixes, DNS v2, WebSocket Outport Driver, Sync Missing Trie Nodes, and several others.
MultiversX is a high-throughput public blockchain focused on providing security, efficiency, scalability, and interoperability by employing two key elements: Adaptive State Sharding and a new Secure Proof of Stake ("SPoS") consensus mechanism. EGLD is down by more than 15% today and is trading at $58.18 at press time.
