Crypto.com CEO Unveils AI Agent Platform to 100 Million Viewers During Super Bowl

Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek has officially launched ai.com, a platform enabling users to create personal AI agents capable of performing everyday tasks, leveraging Super Bowl 60's massive audience to introduce the beta service to over 100 million viewers.

The ai.com commercial aired during Super Bowl 60 on NBC on Monday, capitalizing on the sporting event's extensive reach to promote the AI platform's beta launch. For now, users can register ai.com username handles but must join a queue before having their private, personalized AI agents deployed.

Marszalek stated the AI agents can perform tasks ranging from managing emails and scheduling meetings to canceling subscriptions, executing shopping requests, and planning trips. The functionality positions ai.com as a general-purpose AI assistant platform competing with established services from major technology companies.

Marszalek characterized his mission with ai.com as accelerating artificial general intelligence "by building a decentralized network of autonomous, self-improving AI agents that perform real-world tasks for the good of humanity." The ambitious framing reflects growing interest in AI agent architectures capable of executing multi-step tasks with minimal human intervention.

ChatGPT creator OpenAI launched an enterprise-focused AI agent platform, Frontier, last week, while software engineer Peter Steinberger released AI agent OpenClaw in November 2025, which gained popularity in January. The timing suggests intensifying competition in the AI agent space as multiple platforms race to capture market share.

Marszalek purchased the AI-themed domain in April for $70 million—the largest publicly disclosed domain sale in history—and has since assembled a team to bring the product to market. The substantial investment in premium digital real estate mirrors strategies employed by companies seeking instant brand recognition and credibility.

Pseudonymous crypto and AI researcher 0xSammy suggested the approach resembles how Marszalek scaled Crypto.com to over 150 million customers by acquiring a memorable domain and investing heavily in marketing. "One of the most recognisable URLs on the internet + 128M eyeballs + a Super Bowl ad = the biggest single-day domain launch in history?" 0xSammy wrote.

Marszalek reported ai.com experienced "insane traffic" in the initial hours following launch, briefly causing the website to crash before returning online. The technical difficulties reflect high interest generated by the Super Bowl exposure and the platform's accessible domain name.

Multiple technology giants also ran AI-focused advertisements during Super Bowl 60. Google aired a 60-second Gemini AI commercial, while Anthropic promoted its Claude chatbot. Amazon showcased its Alexa AI product, and Meta advertised Oakley-branded AI glasses, demonstrating widespread industry recognition of AI as a mainstream consumer product category.

These technology companies reportedly paid approximately $8 million to run 30-second advertisements during the Super Bowl, making the premium placement a significant marketing investment. The concentration of AI-related commercials during the event signals the technology sector's commitment to consumer AI adoption.
