On Wednesday, the Chainlink team announced via X that its Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard is now compatible with Optimism’s SuperchainERC20, with its first deployment on Soneium via AstarNetwork's token, ASTR.
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now powering the first live deployment of a SuperchainERC20-compatible cross-chain token on Soneium Mainnet via the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard. As part of the Astar Evolution Phase 1.5 initiative, the ASTR token is now a Cross-Chain Token (CCT), aligning with Optimism's vision for seamless interoperability across the broader Superchain ecosystem. This upgrade is powered by Chainlink CCIP, enabling secure and seamless cross-chain functionality and Superchain interop compatibility.
