On Tuesday, the Filecoin Foundation announced via X that the Bermuda Government is uploading public datasets to the Filecoin network. Led by the Ministry for the Cabinet Office and Digital Innovation, Bermuda is enhancing the resilience, transparency, and verifiability of critical public information.
Initial datasets include publications documenting key trends in the Bermuda labor market. This initiative is part of Democracy's Library, a project by Internet Archive preserving government documents from around the world.
More than one petabyte of government materials are now stored on Filecoin, including collections such as the End of Term Web Archive and the Aruba Collection.
Filecoin is a decentralized storage network that serves as an incentivization layer on top of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). FIL is down 0.05% in the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $1.353.
