The Axie Infinity team announced via Twitter on Friday that it would be releasing an update to its Origin game in a few hours. The update would be at 3 am EST on May 27 and the game will be down until the updates are complete. The update will include an improved user interface, a balance patch, and the option to log in via a QR code. 

Axie Infinity is a Pokémon-inspired digital pet universe built on the Ethereum blockchain where anyone can earn token rewards through skilled gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem.

AXS, the native token of the Axie Infinity ecosystem, is down by more than 12% today and currently trades at $18.30
