C-Patex Review

A trading cryptocurrency guide must provide reviews of all of the top crypto exchanges out there, so that you can find the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you. This review of C-Patex consists of four parts: general information, fees, deposit methods and security.

General Information

C-Patex is a rarity in our Cryptocurrency Exchange List. It’s a rarity as it is one of two exchanges from the land of Argentina. The only other one is SouthXchange. The biggest country in South America when it comes to being the base of cryptocurrency exchanges is Brazil. Brazil is the home of 10 cryptocurrency exchanges listed in our Cryptocurrency Exchange List.

The exchange launched in November 2014 and offers trading in a decent number of cryptocurrencies. Sure, you won’t find any of the new ICO-tokens here but at least all of the biggest cryptocurrencies are represented.

To the best of our knowledge, the exchange allows US-investors. As a US-investor though, you should always analyze any obstacles arising from your residency or citizenship yourself.

C-Patex Trading View

Different exchanges have different trading views. And there is no “this overview is the best”-view. You should yourself determine which trading view that suits you the best. What the views normally have in common is that they all show the order book or at least part of the order book, a price chart of the chosen cryptocurrency and order history. They normally also have buy and sell-boxes. Before you choose an exchange, try to have a look at the trading view so that you can ascertain that it feels right to you. The below is a picture of the trading view at C-Patex:

C-Patex Fees

C-Patex Trading fees

SouthXchange‘s trading fees are a flat 0.20% and C-Patex’s are slightly lower (flat 0.15%). This means that C-Patex wins the “lowest trading fee”-race in its home country. 0.15% is also below the global industry average (0.25%).

C-Patex Withdrawal fees

As for withdrawal fees, we have not been able to find them anywhere at this exchange. This is potentially a risk for you as an investor (if they are not informed of anywhere we believe there is a higher risk that they are high). Accordingly, we strongly urge you to make your own analysis of the withdrawal fees at this exchange before depositing any funds here and before concluding that it is the best cryptocurrency exchange site for you.

Deposit Methods

There are a lot of fiat currency deposit methods available here, however, only for the fiat currency ARS (Argentine peso). This exchange does not support the fiat currencies USD and EUR. This exchange is thus an “entry-level exchange”, but only for holders of ARS.

C-Patex Security

This trading platform has an average security score. We run all exchange-websites in Mozilla’s Observatory-test (https://observatory.mozilla.org/), and C-Patex received a D+ score. This is decent, but there is also room for improvement.

***

As mentioned above, this exchange supports credit card deposits (alone or through the use of any of its associated payment service providers). Other cryptocurrency exchanges that also have this option include:

  1. Changelly
  2. CEX.io
  3. Crex24
  4. Bitstamp
  5. QBTC
  6. Kriptomat
  7. BTC Direct
  8. Bitlish
  9. Coinsuper
  10. MBAEX
