Bitcoin Black Card Review
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could convert your crypto assets into everyday purchases and buy goods with bitcoin and other altcoins? Well, now you can. Just get a cryptocurrency debit card and buy also non-virtual goods (sandwiches, jeans, gardening supplies, etc.) with your crypto assets. This is a review of Bitcoin Black Card – one of the many cryptocurrency debit cards.
Bitcoin Black Card primarily only supports the biggest cryptocurrency of them all: Bitcoin.
With respect to fiat currencies, however, Bitcoin Black Card supports a diverse group of fiat currencies: EUR, USD, CAD, ZAR, GBP, AUD, NZD, INR, AED, and CNY.
Bitcoin Black Card is actually not one card. Rather, it is a collection of prepaid debit cards possible to deposit Bitcoin into.
Bitcoin Black Card (or the collection of cards more exactly) are MasterCards and VISAs, so you can spend the funds on your card (or cards) wherever you can purchase with MasterCard or VISA.
US-investors may also use this card or cards.
Athena Bitcoin, Inc. is the company behind the Bitcoin Black Card operations.
Bitcoin Black Card’s primary objective seems to be anonymous payments.
Bitcoin Black Card Fees
We think that Bitcoin Black Card’s fees are relatively moderate, but not very competitive.
The above is because there is only one fee – the issuance fee. The issuance fee is 0.06 BTC. This fee is extremely high compared to other cryptocurrency debit cards where the fee is usually around USD 15.00. 0.06 BTC today is almost USD 400. On the flip side, there is no monthly fee, no ATM fee, and no commission based spending fee. It should be considered whether the absence of other fees outweighs the substantially higher issuance fee.
With respect to this card, we have had great difficulties obtaining the relevant information we have obtained for other cryptocurrency debit cards. This is of course a risk for any potential user of this card. We strongly urge anyone interested in getting this card to form their own opinion on Bitcoin Black Card’s offering.
If this is the cryptocurrency debit card for you, congratulations. If not, check out one of the other epic cryptocurrency debit cards in our cryptocurrency debit card list. Good luck!
