The Avalanche team announced via Twitter on Tuesday that Banff, the latest version of AvalancheGo, is now live on the Avalanche mainnet.

The Avalanche team announced via Twitter on Tuesday that Banff, the latest version of AvalancheGo, is now live on the Avalanche mainnet. AvalancheGo (formerly Gecko) is the official implementation of Avalanche in the Go programming language. It comes with a full suite of JSON-RPCs for interacting with virtual machine APIs on Avalanche.

The successful activation of Banff completes the launch of Elastic Validation for Subnet creators, the Avalanche team added. 

Avalanche is an open-source platform for launching Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications and enterprise blockchain deployments in an interoperable, highly scalable ecosystem.AVAX is down by more than 3% so far today and currently trades at $15.64 per coin.
