Lyzi, the Tezos-based French fintech, is expanding its presence in Europe thanks to various auto dealerships and humanitarian partnerships.
In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, the fintech firm, which raised €1.3 million in April to democratize cryptocurrency payments, announced on Monday, December 8, that it has partnered with both Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux. The partnership means that the two entities have become the first dealerships in their respective networks to accept cryptocurrency payments through Lyzi's technology.
Thanks to this partnership, customers can now purchase their luxury vehicles using Bitcoin, tez, stablecoins (EURC, USDC), and over 80 cryptocurrencies.
While commenting on this latest partnership, Jean-Pierre Launay, Director of Porsche Centre Montpellier, stated that,
"We wanted to offer our customers a purchasing experience that meets their standards, while integrating new financial practices. With Lyzi, we combine innovation, performance, and simplicity.”
Thomas Hecquet, Director at Lamborghini Centre Bordeaux, added that,
"For our clientele who appreciate both Italian craftsmanship and digital innovation, accepting cryptocurrency is simply another expression of exceptional service and exclusive access to the extraordinary."
Lyzi Offers Euro Conversion with Ease
According to Lyzi, the dealers will receive instant euro conversion without exposure to cryptocurrency volatility, while customers enjoy a seamless payment experience directly from their crypto wallets.
In addition to the auto dealership partnerships, Lyzi also partnered with Doctors of the World (Médecins du Monde) to launch an innovative cryptocurrency donation platform.
According to Lyzi, this partnership addresses the urgent need for diversified funding sources in the humanitarian sector, allowing international donors to contribute using digital assets to approximately 400 programs in over 80 countries.
Guillaume Cotillard, Director of Communication and Development, Doctors of the World, pointed out that the organization has been diversifying its public fundraising sources to guarantee its independence of action.
“With a crypto market now regulated within the EU, we decided to launch this crypto donation experiment to better understand these new uses and their funding potential for the coming years. Our approach respects the ethical framework defined in our funding charter," Cotillard added.
Lyzi is looking to serve over a million connected terminals across Europe. Damien Patureaux, CEO of Lyzi, stated that the partnerships with Porsche and Lamborghini, alongside humanitarian organizations like Doctors of the World, is an indication that crypto payments are no longer a trend but a reality.
“We're making cryptocurrency payments as simple as card payments while opening new possibilities for global giving," the CEO added.
These partnerships come after the company concluded a successful seed round led by investors including Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines, NYX Venture Singapore, and Jean-Luc Bernard (founder of Astek), earlier this year.
Lyzi has already secured partnerships with major brands, including Smeg, Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco, and S.T. Dupont.
Lyzi has been around since 2022 and is focused on democratizing cryptocurrency payments with a simple and secure solution. The platform connects merchants to Web3 solutions, making transactions easier and enhancing the customer experience.
