Ronin Network Adopts Chainlink’s CCIP

On Thursday, the Ronin Network announced via a blog post that Ronin Validators voted to adopt Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to serve as the network’s canonical cross-chain infrastructure. That means Chainlink will help secure the Ronin Bridge.

The integration will significantly increase the security of assets bridged to the Ronin Network. All assets bridged via the existing Ronin bridge will be upgraded to use CCIP for native cross-chain transfers, starting initially with support for transfers between Ethereum and the Ronin Network.

Ronin Wallet is the crypto wallet developed for Axie Infinity. It operates on the Ronin blockchain, which works as a sidechain on the Ethereum network. The Ronin network makes it much cheaper to trade and breed Axies and greatly reduces the costs of playing Axie Infinity. RONIN is down 1% and trades at $1.493 per coin.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is down 1% over the past 24 hours, trading at $10.62 at press time.
