Hong Kong recently witnessed the debut of its first-ever spot crypto ETFs.

Harvest Global Investments, headquartered in Hong Kong, has forged a strategic alliance with MetaComp, a Singapore-based fintech specializing in digital assets, to introduce its latest cryptocurrency spot exchange traded funds to investors in Singapore.

In a memorandum of understanding inked between the two entities, MetaComp and its associated firms will grant investors access to Harvest’s crypto spot ETFs through its exclusive client assets management platform, known as Camp by MetaComp.

The Singaporean fintech views this collaboration as an opportunity to broaden the global reach of Harvest ETFs while enhancing its own wealth solution portfolio with highly coveted financial products.

Harvest Global Investments, a subsidiary of three mainland Chinese asset managers including Bosera Asset Management and China Asset Management, concurrently launched two ETFs each tracking bitcoin and ether prices on April 30. The Bosera funds were launched in collaboration with HashKey Capital.

Beyond the distribution of crypto ETFs, the partnership between MetaComp and Harvest will explore synergies for incorporating Harvest’s diverse asset management solutions into MetaComp’s service offerings.

MetaComp also pledges to provide Harvest access to its suite of digital payment token services. The collaboration aims to cater not only to the existing clientele of both entities but also to tap into new segments seeking advanced financial solutions across both traditional finance and crypto finance realms.

Bo Bai, chair and co-founder of MetaComp, lauds the deal as a testament to his company’s commitment to bridging traditional finance with crypto finance. He expresses confidence that the fusion of Harvest's asset management expertise with MetaComp’s robust digital payment capabilities will deliver unparalleled value to clients and the market at large.
