The Pancakeswap team told its community via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that they have submitted a proposal to adjust voting power requirements to reduce spam. This vote is to increase the required voting power needed to create a proposal. The amount of CAKE required will remain modest and does not greatly affect the ability of contributors to make their voices heard.

However, if approved, the proposal will help to prevent spam proposals that do not relate to the future of PancakeSwap and make it easier for admins and the Kitchen to review serious community suggestions.

PancakeSwap is a BNB Chain-based decentralized exchange (DEX) with an automated market maker (AMM) model for swapping BEP-20 tokens. CAKE is down by 3% today and is currently trading at $1.1759.
