On Friday, the Near Protocol announced via X that it has integrated with ZCash, a leading privacy-protecting cryptocurrency. With the integration of Zcash on NEAR Intents, Zcash can now be swapped using NEAR Intents for dozens of other assets in a fully permissionless and self-custodial manner.

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application platform designed to make apps similarly usable to those on today’s web. The network runs on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Nightshade, which aims to provide dynamic scalability and stabilize fees. NEAR is trading at $2.698, down 2% in the last 24 hours.
