The Filecoin team announced via a blog post on Friday that their engineers have positioned the Filecoin Data Tools (FDT) project to begin large-scale onboarding of customer data.

FDT (Filecoin Data Tools) is a set of computing and storage technologies built on top of the Filecoin Network. The Filecoin Network is a decentralized storage network with network revenue and incentivization built in.

Filecoin is a decentralized storage network that serves as an incentivization layer on top of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). FIL has added more than 2% to its value over the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $4.661.
