Dogwifhat Overtakes Pepe to Become the Third-largest Memecoin After 61% Rally in a Week

Dogwifhat is now the third-largest memecoin by market cap after overtaking Pepe thanks to its 61% rally in the last seven days.

WIF Overtakes PEPE to Become Third-largest Memecoin

Solana-based memecoin Dogwifhat (WIF) has overtaken Pepe to become the third-largest memecoin by market cap. This latest development comes after WIF rallied by more than 60% over the last seven days.

Thanks to its recent rally, WIF is now surpassed by only Shiba Inu and Dogecoin in the memecoin ecosystem. WIF is also one of the best performers in the last 30 days, adding 390% to its value during that period.

At press time, WIF is trading at $4.48 and has a market cap of $4.47 billion, thus making it the 29th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Its rally saw it overtake several other leading cryptocurrencies in the market including Optimism, Stellar, Hedera, Mantle, Immutable and Arbitrum.

WIF’s rally comes as Bitcoin continues to trade above the $70k level while Dogecoin rallied by 5% in the last 24 hours. At press time, Bitcoin is trading at $70,484, up by less than 1%. Meanwhile, DOGE is currently trading at $0.2161 per coin. 

With memecoins leading the charge, the total cryptocurrency market cap now stands at $2.68 trillion, up by 1% in the last 24 hours.
