The Chiliz team announced via Twitter on Wednesday that it has launched its Spicy Testnet.

The Chiliz team announced via Twitter on Wednesday that it has launched its Spicy Testnet. Spicy Testnet is the last major upgrade before the launch of the Chiliz Chain 2.0 Mainnet. The team added that they are introducing the new testnet to improve the overall security and performance of the Chiliz blockchain, which cannot be done without a hard fork.

Spicy Testnet will eventually replace Scoville. However, at this point in time, the team has decided to keep both chains running in parallel.

Chiliz (CHZ) is a digital currency for sports, e-sports, and entertainment platforms and is adaptable across a wide range of industries. It aims to foster a blockchain ecosystem built for sports and entertainment. CHZ has added 1% of its value in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.1382.
