The BitTorrent team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that the BTFS technical community has recently launched the BTIP-55 proposal discussion.

The BitTorrent team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that the BTFS technical community has recently launched the BTIP-55 proposal discussion. The BTIP-55 proposal aims to drive an upgrade in the file storage challenge method, moving from a centralized model to a more decentralized challenge model.

The proposal is currently in Draft status and BitTorrent wants its community members to participate in the discussion and give valuable suggestions

The BitTorrent token is a TRC-10 token on the Tron blockchain. The BTT token intends to build a token-based economy for networking, bandwidth, and storage resources on the existing BitTorrent network. BTTC is trading at $0.00000037 at press time, down by 2% in the last 24 hours.
