Binance has launched regulated Gold and Silver options through its ADGM-regulated Nest Exchange, expanding its crypto-native derivatives suite with compliant commodity trading.

Binance Launches Regulated Gold and Silver Options Through ADGM Exchange

Binance, the world’s leading crypto exchange by trading volume, has introduced Gold and Silver commodity options through Nest Exchange Limited, its Recognized Investment Exchange regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, Binance said the move expands the exchange's traditional finance (TradFi) product lineup, giving users new ways to hedge risk, diversify portfolios, and gain exposure to major commodities without leaving the Binance ecosystem.

The launch strengthens Binance's regulated derivatives offering by allowing traders to access both commodity perpetual futures and options using the same USDT balance and trading account.

Binance Builds on Demand for Commodity Perpetual Futures

The crypto exchange said the new options product follows strong user interest in its Gold and Silver perpetual futures introduced earlier this year. While perpetual contracts allow traders to take directional positions on commodity prices, options provide additional flexibility for implementing hedging and more advanced trading strategies.

According to Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, the addition comes at a time when investors are increasingly turning to precious metals as a hedge against inflation and broader economic uncertainty.

"We've seen strong demand for our commodity perpetuals since introducing them earlier this year, and commodity options build on that momentum. With gold hitting record highs and investors seeking inflation hedges outside traditional equities, Binance's commodity options offer users additional compliant, crypto-native ways to diversify without leaving the platform," Jan said.

The newly launched products introduce several features aimed at both retail and institutional traders.

Physical Gold and Silver Exposure

Binance says it is the first crypto platform to offer European-style, USDT-settled options tied to physical Gold and Silver, providing traders with additional tools to hedge commodity exposure and diversify investment portfolios.

Regulated Trading Framework

The options will operate under Binance's ADGM-regulated Nest Exchange, incorporating regulatory safeguards such as:

  • Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verification

  • Market surveillance

  • Sanctions screening

  • Compliance controls aligned with regulatory requirements

Defined-Risk Trading for Retail Investors

Retail users will only be permitted to purchase (long) options, limiting potential losses to the premium paid. This structure eliminates the liquidation risks associated with writing or selling options.

Expanded Strategies for Institutions

Eligible institutional clients and approved liquidity providers will be able to write options, allowing them to collect option premiums and deploy more sophisticated portfolio management and income-generating strategies.

Commodity options trading will follow the schedule of the underlying markets, operating:

  • Sunday: 6:00 PM ET

  • Friday: Until 5:00 PM ET

  • Daily maintenance break: 5:00 PM ET to 6:00 PM ET

Binance Strengthens its Bridge Between Crypto and Traditional Finance

Binance said it will continue to support the launch with investor education, risk awareness materials and robust user protection measures in line with its ADGM regulatory obligations.

The exchange believes the addition of commodity options reflects the growing convergence of digital assets and traditional financial markets, giving users regulated access to globally traded commodities through crypto-native infrastructure.

This latest development comes three weeks after Binance reported that its stock trading platform surpassed $1 billion in AUM and $3 billion in trading volume within 30 days, fueled by strong demand for U.S. equities.

Jan added that expanding the range of available trading tools enables investors to better manage risk and express market views while demonstrating how traditional financial products can become more accessible through blockchain-based trading platforms.
