The Algorand team announced via a tweet on Tuesday that Wormhole adds support for Algorand. Wormhole is an interoperability protocol powering the seamless transfer of value and information across 8 high-value chains. Algorand said the integration will unlock a new level of interoperability for the Algorand ecosystem. 

Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products”. As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network". ALGO is trading at $0.4780 at press time, down by more than 1% in the last 24 hours.
