Strive has added another 1,107 bitcoin to its treasury, taking its total holdings to 27,462 BTC. The company spent about $94.5 million on the purchases between September 21 and 25, at an average price of $85,396 per coin, according to its Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
SATA Sales Fund Most of the Week’s Capital Raise
The latest purchase was smaller than Strive’s 1,355 BTC addition the previous week. Strive continued to raise capital through sales of its SATA perpetual preferred stock and the exercise of outstanding warrants.
SATA sales accounted for 85% of the capital raised during the latest week, while warrant exercises brought in $12.4 million in gross proceeds.
Strive’s purchases show how it is using capital markets to expand its bitcoin treasury. The strategy also leaves the value of those holdings exposed to changes in bitcoin’s price.
Second-Place Goal Requires Continued Buying
Strive ranks fifth among public bitcoin holders, behind Strategy, Twenty One, Metaplanet and MARA, according to the ranking cited in the report.
CEO Matt Cole has suggested the company could reach second place by the end of 2026, while saying that outcome is not his base case.
Based on the reported holdings, Strive would need 16,053 additional BTC to move one coin ahead of Twenty One’s 43,514 BTC, assuming Twenty One makes no further purchases.
With 13 full weeks left in the year, that works out to roughly 1,235 BTC per week. The calculation illustrates the scale of the goal; both companies’ holdings could change before year-end.
