Crypto Wallet Phantom Reports Temporary Outage
Phantom, a popular crypto wallet used across Solana and Ethereum, experienced a temporary service outage that disrupted in-app balance and price displays, sparking confusion among users.
The issue, which surfaced during active trading hours, caused some users to see zero balances, missing funds, or sharply incorrect token prices within the app.
Update: This issue has been resolved.

Token prices and balances should now be displaying correctly.

The wallet service provider confirmed the disruption via X on Monday, stating that the problem was tied to token price updates and balance display functions, not a breach of funds.
The team added that it was actively working on a fix and later indicated the issue had been resolved.
Phantom tweeted a few hours ago that the issue has been resolved and users can now accurately see their balances on the wallet.
The outage triggered widespread concern across social media, with some users fearing their assets had been lost. In several cases, traders reported being unable to execute transactions or verify portfolio values, especially during volatile market conditions.
The team is yet to disclose a definitive root cause for the outage. However, early indications point to a failure in its data aggregation or pricing infrastructure, potentially linked to third-party APIs used to fetch token prices.
Some users claimed financial losses due to the inability to trade during the outage. Others called for compensation amid the disruption. Despite the disruption, services have since returned to normal, though Phantom advised users still experiencing issues to contact support.
