Algorand announced via Twitter on Tuesday that NFT marketplace NiftyMediaArt would launch its multimedia marketplace and streaming platform on the Algorand blockchain. Using the Algorand blockchain, NiftyMedia said it will connect artists and content creators directly to NFT collectors enabling the ability to seamlessly transact. The platform will enable artists to build their digital brands and have direct contact with their community.
Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products”. As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network".
ALGO is trading at $0.6771 at press time, down by more than 7% in the last 24 hours.
