KuCoin has become the first top crypto exchange to achieve the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) certification, indicating its commitment to improving the security of its platform.
KuCoin Obtains the CCSS Certification
KuCoin, one of the leading crypto exchanges in the world, announced that it has achieved the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) certification. The certification is a rigorous, globally recognized framework designed to enhance the security of cryptocurrency systems.
In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, the crypto exchange revealed that it has become the first top 10 exchange to obtain this certification, cementing its place at the top of industry security practices.
Furthermore, this latest development means that KuCoin has become the only major crypto trading platform to hold all four leading security and privacy certifications — CCSS, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701:2025, and SOC 2 Type II.

It ensures that user data is protected, with reduced risks of losing their funds and greater transparency. Thus, reinforcing KuCoin’s reputation as one of the most secure trading platforms in the crypto space.
This latest development comes a month after KuCoin launched KuMining to provide retail and institutional users direct access to real, verifiable hashrate. The KuMining platform enables seamless settlement and enhanced rewards through KCS, KuCoin’s native coin.
