OKX has launched its crypto exchange services in Argentina.
The company believes that this launch will help with its regional growth strategy.
OKX Now Available to Customers in Argentina
Cryptocurrency exchange OKX announced last week that its services are now available to customers in Argentina. This expansion is part of the company's ongoing strategy to target the Latin American market and comes after it launched in Brazil a few months ago.
According to OKX’s announcement, Argentine users now have access to its platform, along with a self-custody wallet and the ability to trade nonfungible tokens (NFTs). OKX’s expansion to Argentina is justified thanks to the rising crypto adoption levels in the South American country. In Latin America, Argentina is only behind Brazil in terms of crypto adoption.
While commenting on this latest development, OKX president Hong Fang said,
“We are delighted to officially launch the latest expansion of our world-class exchange and Web3 wallet in one of the most vibrant cryptocurrency markets in Latin America.”
Fang added that Argentina is a key part of its expansion plans across South America. “The promise of crypto and blockchain is expanding across Latin America, and Argentina represents a crucial launchpad for our regional growth strategy,” he added.
OKX launched its services in Brazil towards the end of 2023. After setting up its presence in Argentina, the cryptocurrency exchange will be looking to expand to other Latin American countries in the coming months and years.
