Bybit Resumes Operations in India
Bybit, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, has resumed full operations in India. This latest development comes after the crypto exchange paid a fine of $1 million earlier this year.
In addition to that, Bybit added that it has also registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) to regain compliance. This comes after Bybit suspended most services in January 2025 due to operating without proper registration under anti-money laundering rules.
According to Bybit, Indian users now have full access to its mobile app via the App Store and Google Play. Furthermore, the Bybit website will be made available to them over the coming days.
While commenting on this latest development, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou said,
“India is among the most promising digital asset markets globally. It's not a comeback, it's a new chapter for Bybit in India."
Bybit is now fully registered with FIU-IND as a reporting entity. It has also complied with stricter Know Your Customer (KYC) and security protocols.
