UPDATE 26 March 2024: Due to a recent rebranding, Advcash has announced the arrival of a fresh chapter for the company with the introduction of Volet.com!

All users of Advcash are invited to begin using the four Volet cards using their Advcash credentials. The seamless transition to Volet means customers won't have to do anything, as their existing data and settings will be carried over.

Volet Card is an exciting new project, bringing all the experience and quality of service Advcash built over the years!

A common argument for regular money (also known as fiat currency) as opposed to cryptocurrency is that you can’t use cryptocurrency to buy groceries and other everyday items. Well, through the use of a cryptocurrency debit card, you can. This is a review of Advcash, one of the crypto debit cards out there.

Advcash supports a few different cryptos: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash and ZCash. The cards will however most likely support even more cryptocurrencies in the future.

With respect to fiat currencies, Advcash will support EUR, BRL, KZT, RUB, UAH and USD.

As a few of its main advantages, Advcash highlights that it will be easy to fund, that it can handle multiple currencies within the same account and that it will also be easy to withdraw from. All of these advantages are indeed very helpful for a crypto debit card holder so we agree that they should be highlighted.

US-investors will not be able to use this card. So if you’re from the US and you’re looking for a crypto debit card, please refer to our Crypto Debit Card List to find one for you.

The following is a picture of how the cards will look (updated on 22 November 2023):

As there are various cards available, we cannot independently verify the fees charged by any one single card. The below information has been provided to us by representatives of Advcash. The fees presented below are relative to each card, so be sure to know which one you're applying for before you move forward. We will then make sure to update this review as and when things change.

Cards do not have a direct connection to any crypto assets. In order to use the card, you must have fiat money in one of the fiat wallets in your Advcash account. You need to manually transfer this fiat money to the card. Advcash recently added crypto wallets, allowing users to hold BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC directly in their Advcash account. Previously, only conversion between fiat and crypto was possible.

There will be an issuance fee for the plastic card of $29.95 USD.

There will be no monthly fees, which benefits the customers.

ATM usage will result in a fixed fee of USD 1.99 within Europe and $2.99 USD outside of the EU. The fixed fee structure might be bad in countries where the normal ATMs only allow smaller withdrawals (USD 20, for instance). In such scenarios, to withdraw a larger amount, you need to withdraw several times, thus triggering the fixed fee each time. Usually, however, you can go to a bank to withdraw higher amounts more efficiently.

There is a currency exchange fee of 2.95%, regardless of the amount exchanged. Any kind of ATM requests, such as balance requests or PIN changes, will incur a fee of $1 USD. Funding the card will also incur a fee, which varies depending on if you're using EUR (0.95%) or USD (1.45%). Withdrawal fees at Advcash are the same for both EUR and USD, with a 1 EUR/USD charge per withdrawal.

Aside from these core fees, there are some more specific fees that most users are unlikely to encounter. These include:

  • The fee for withdrawal from the card to your Advcash wallet is 1 EUR/USD.
  • Chargeback fee (opening a dispute on a payment): 20.99 EUR/USD.
  • Card re-issuance fee: 19.95 EUR/USD.
  • ATM decline fee: 0.55 EUR/USD.
  • 3-month card inactivity fee: 2 EUR/USD/month.
  • Reactivation of an inactive card: 5 EUR/USD.
  • Plastic card inactivity fee for three months: 2 EUR/USD / month.
  • Reactivation of inactive plastic card: 5 EUR/USD.
  • Virtual card inactivity fee for three months: 1 EUR/USD / month.
  • Reactivation of inactive virtual card: 3 EUR/USD.

Furthermore, the most important fee of them all, the commission on spending. Advcash will set you back 0.00% when purchasing something in USD or EUR. This means that if you buy a nice sweater for USD 100, this will reduce your crypto assets with USD 100 (i.e. nothing more than what you can expect). However, if you purchase anything in another fiat currency than USD or EUR, Advcash will charge you a 2.95% FX-conversion fee. This means that any purchases other than USD or EUR-purchases will come with a 2.95% commission based fee.

The crypto firm aims to release the ADV Global card, which will offer Plastic UnionPay and Mastercard cards in USD to customers in all supported countries. Enjoy free courier delivery and convenient no-fee POS payments in USD. You can instantly load funds from your fiat Advcash e-wallets. The card has an issuance fee of $90 USD and allows a maximum load per day of $10,000 USD.

Finally, the maximum monthly deposit will be USD 250,000 (post-verification). If you need a card with higher maximum deposit limits than that, don’t worry. Just have a look in our cryptocurrency debit card list to find another card for you.

If this is the cryptocurrency debit card for you, congratulations. Sign up here NOW to create an account with Advcash, and then order the card once it is released.

If not, check out one of the other cryptocurrency debit cards in our debit card list. Good luck!
