On Friday, the Immutable team announced via X that Olderfall is now live on Immutable Play. Olderfall is a free-to-play auto battler for mobile + browser where you play as a Gladiator Master.
Olderfall’s vision is fun first: blockchain is designed to enhance gameplay by making victories permanent and assets truly for the players.
Immutable Play is the quest and rewards layer built on top of the Immutable ecosystem. It connects web3 games with a system that grants Gems for completing specific in-game milestones and platform interactions.
Each week, 500 Gems can be exchanged for a Key, which serves as an entry into the weekly draw. Rewards include IMX tokens, bonus Gems, Tier Ups, and additional entries.
According to the team, participation requires an Immutable Passport Wallet, which serves as the account and identity layer for Immutable Play.
Immutable X is an L2 scaling solution for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Ethereum, with instant trading, massive scalability, and zero gas fees for minting and trading with shared security with the Ethereum mainnet.
Immutable positions itself as the first layer-two scaling solution for NFTs on Ethereum. According to Immutable, its blockchain does away with Ethereum’s limitations like low scalability, a poor user experience, illiquidity, and a slow developer experience. Thanks to this technology, users will be able to create and distribute assets like ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens on a massive scale. IMX is up 5.5% today, trading at $0.1711 at press time.
