In a blog on Thursday, the Algorand Foundation announced that Messina is the latest project to receive its SupaGrant. Messina Bridge will use the funds to build a decentralized bridge between Algorand and Ethereum, helping to support the growth of a vibrant, diverse and thriving Algorand ecosystem.

Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products”. As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network".

ALGO is trading at $0.6847 at press time, up by more than 4% in the last 24 hours.
