On Thursday, the Avalanche Foundation announced via a blog post that Kite AI, a key provider of decentralized AI infrastructure, has announced the first foundational AI Layer 1 (L1) on Avalanche.

Kite AI is a sovereign L1 designed to enable AI tools to thrive in a decentralized ecosystem. Through its Programmable AI Value Chain, Kite AI allows developers to create modular AI ecosystems with tailored incentives for contributors, including data providers, model builders, and agents.

Kite AI aims to harness Avalanche’s cutting-edge technology while providing a tailor-made environment for AI, data analytics, and decentralized applications for developers and institutions.

Avalanche is an open-source platform for launching Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications and enterprise blockchain deployments in an interoperable, highly scalable ecosystem. AVAX is down 5.5% today and currently trades at $24.92 per coin.
