DecentralandDAO announced via X on Monday that it has launched Decentraland NAME, a unique identity that opens doors to the Decentraland metaverse. Decentraland NAME allows users to mint, purchase, and personalize their avatars.

A Decentraland NAME, ending in [YOURNAME].dcl.eth, can be minted for 100 MANA from the Decentraland builder or acquired from the Decentraland marketplace or OpenSea. Furthermore, a Decentraland NAME doesn't expire, making it a permanent personal asset.

Also, owning a Decentraland NAME entitles a user to a Decentraland WORLD. Here, a user can build and deploy their own virtual worlds using the Decentraland Builder.

Decentraland is a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Users can create, experience, and monetize content and applications. One of the main features of the platform is the ability to purchase land in its virtual reality & build on it.

Decentraland’s MANA is up by 2% in the last 24 hours and currently trades at $0.4357.
