CertiK Signs MOU With NEXUS to Boost Security and Stablecoin Infrastructure

CertiK, the world's largest Web3 security services provider, announced on Monday, December 22nd, that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NEXUS, the blockchain infrastructure behind the South Korea-listed company CROSS Protocol.

CertiK’s MoU with NEXUS will Strengthen Security and Boost Stablecoin Infrastructure

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, Certik added that the MOU will enhance security, auditing practices, on-chain risk monitoring, and stablecoin infrastructure across the CROSS ecosystem.

This latest development signifies the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two organizations as adoption accelerates in on-chain gaming and digital asset transactions that require robust security safeguards.

Per the MOU, CertiK will provide auditing and smart contract security services for NEXUS and the CROSS ecosystem.

Furthermore, CertiK will also support regulatory frameworks for Asia-based stablecoin initiatives and contribute on-chain risk monitoring capabilities. This will help identify emerging threats.

According to CertiK, these efforts will ensure that NEXUS’s payment infrastructure, alongside the broader CROSS ecosystem, enjoys a secure foundation.

CertiK and NEXUS to Formulate the Asia Market Expansion Strategy

According to CertiK, the MOU also includes the two entities working together to formulate their Asia market expansion strategy, while progressively broadening the scope of collaboration with a focus on Web3 security and enterprise blockchain solutions.

While commenting on this latest development, Ronghui Gu, CEO and Co-Founder of CertiK, stated that,

“As stablecoin and on-chain gaming continue to grow, the industry’s need for trustworthy security, clear governance, and strong compliance has never been more important. Our partnership with NEXUS is an important step toward advancing security standards across Web3. We look forward to working closely with NEXUS to support the ecosystem’s long-term growth and innovation.”

NEXUS CEO Hyun-guk Chang added that,

“Trust, security, and regulatory readiness are core elements in expanding the blockchain ecosystem. Our collaboration with CertiK will not only secure global-level security standards but also become a turning point that accelerates NEXUS’s business expansion.”

This latest development comes as CertiK has supported over 5,000 projects globally and safeguarded an estimated six hundred billion dollars in digital assets.

CertiK is the largest Web3 security services provider, leveraging advanced formal verification technology to protect blockchain protocols and smart contracts. Founded in 2017 by Yale and Columbia professors, the company brings academic innovation to enterprise-scale applications, becoming one of the fastest-growing and most trusted names in blockchain security. CertiK has secured over $600B in digital assets, served 5,000+ clients, including Aptos, Ripple, Sandbox, Polygon, BNB Chain, and TON, and identified more than 180,000 code vulnerabilities. Backed by top-tier investors such as Sequoia, Coatue, Goldman Sachs, Shunwei Capital, and Insight Partners, CertiK is valued at over $2B.

Meanwhile, NEXUS is a South Korea–based game company listed on KOSDAQ since 2015, recognized for its strong multi-platform development capabilities. As the development partner behind CROSS Protocol, NEXUS builds on-chain products and infrastructure that let studios integrate Web3 features effortlessly, enabling wallet-optional onboarding, gas-free microtransactions, and smooth player movement across games and ecosystems.
