The Zilliqa team announced via a blog post on Monday that Switcheo Labs had launched ZilBridge v2, a major upgrade to the existing Ethereum-Zilliqa bridge powered by the Carbon Network.

ZilBridge v2 constitutes a major infrastructure improvement aimed at improving cross-chain interoperability and adding the ability to transfer ZIL between Zilliqa and three additional blockchains - Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Polygon. ZilBridge v2 also makes it easier than ever before to transfer assets between Zilliqa and supported blockchains by removing the transfer key requirement, the Zilliqa team added.

Zilliqa (ZIL) is one of the world’s first blockchains being built on a sharded architecture and features smart contracts written in the platform’s proprietary programming language: Scilla. ZIL is trading at $0.02934 at press time, down by 3% in the last 24 hours.
