The Sandbox Partners With Affyn To Enhance Interoperability Between Metaverse Worlds

The Sandbox has partnered with Singapore-based Affyn to boost interoperability between various metaverse worlds.

The Sandbox Partners With Affyn

The Sandbox, an online gaming platform that offers a unique and immersive gaming experience, announced on Monday, May 8th, that it has partnered with Affyn, a Singapore-based Web 3 games and metaverses developer. 

According to the press release shared with Cryptowisser, The Sandbox said the partnership is designed to boost interoperable metaverse experiences, creating a first-of-its-kind community-focused interoperable and open metaverse.

The partnership seeks to create one big open metaverse that connects creators and collaborators from all corners of the globe into one metaverse, forging sustainable ecosystems that allow players to share characters and heroes within the two platforms. 

While commenting on this latest development, Lucaz Lee, CEO and co-founder of Affyn, said; 

“We couldn’t be more excited to unveil our partnership with The Sandbox. Our shared belief and vision of an open metaverse is the driving force behind this collaboration. We’re confident it will provide gamers, collaborators and virtual world enthusiasts with an even more immersive and interactive experience.”

The Sandbox and Affyn will work together to enhance the interoperability between metaverse worlds and blockchain games. The two entities revealed that they are currently working to launch a fully interoperable open metaverse, allowing for a seamless experience for all communities. 

The Partnership Will Cover The Web3 Ecosystem

In addition to the open metaverse, the collaboration also aims to boost participation in the Web 3 ecosystem by supporting creators and collaborators, the teams added.

Furthermore, they would also be working to educate newcomers and offer information that helps them understand metaverses more and their value proposition. 

George Wong, Head of Singapore Sandbox, added that;

“We’re excited to see more platforms embracing interoperability as a choice rather than working in independent silos, and we hope that this brings forth more creative opportunities and exciting use cases to collaboratively grow the metaverse experience.”

The Sandbox has been expanding its base in the metaverse ecosystem by partnering with some companies. In recent months, The Sandbox partnered with popular stars and athletes, including Tony Hawk, Snoop Dogg,  Deadmau5, and Steve Aoki and top companies such as Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, Gucci Vault, The Walking Dead, Invincible, Adidas, SM Entertainment, and Atari, among others. 

Affyn concluded that the partnership would be unveiled at its upcoming keynote event, Evolution, on 10 May 2023, where the team will also reveal more details on their new game that is set to launch this year.
