Investor-focused social media firm Stocktwits launched a crypto trading platform on February 3rd, aiming to cater to the growing demand for access to bitcoin and other digital assets. The company plans to launch U.S. equities trading by early Q2, with stock options, crypto derivatives and other asset classes in the works.
Stocktwits gained a lot of attention during 2020, alongside Reddit’s r/wallstreetbets, when its online message boards were used by traders to drive the price of various meme stocks.
