The Polygon Labs team announced via X on Tuesday that the Polygon Miden Alpha Testnet is now live. Miden is a zk self-sovereign focused chain ready for pioneers who wish to leverage Polygon’s features.

This upgrade comes with Client-side Proos, which allows users on Miden to locally generate proofs for their state transitions without having to disclose the state to the network. The feature also lowers the burden on the network. Developers get to build self-sovereign and high-throughput applications.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is down by 4% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.7045.
