LinkedIn CEO believes that the metaverse space will experience massive development and investment soon.

LinkedIn co-founder and CEO Reid Hoffman told CNBC in an interview yesterday that the metaverse space is set to see massive investment and development. According to Hoffman, the metaverse has gone beyond a concept or an idea and it is something that is already here to stay.

"We're already in it; it's already evolving, and it's already an essential part of our lives. Right now we are speaking through the metaverse. The internet is almost an early version of it,” he said.

Hoffman added that the metaverse space has encouraged many people to venture into things like immersive environments, with 3D games and 3D hangout spaces.
