Chainlink announced via X on Wednesday that General TAO Ventures has partnered with Chainlink as the launch collaborator for Project Rubicon, bringing Bittensor's subnet alpha tokens to Base via CCIP.
Project Rubicon enables the non-custodial liquid staking of Bittensor's subnet alpha tokens, transforming them into ERC-20 compatible liquid staked assets (xAlpha).
By integrating Chainlink CCIP as the canonical bridging solution, Bittensor's subnet alpha tokens can be securely bridged to Base and utilized in DeFi protocols such as Aerodome.
With this integration, CCIP is now live on Bittensor EVM for any builders to enter into the Bittensor ecosystem and begin building robust cross-chain applications.
Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up 2.8% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $13.70 at press time.
