DFINITY, the team behind The Internet Computer blockchain, announced via Twitter on Thursday that it has partnered with Carbon Crowd to launch the Proof of Green initiative.

DFINITY, the team behind The Internet Computer blockchain, announced via Twitter on Thursday that it has partnered with Carbon Crowd to launch the Proof of Green initiative. The team explained that Proof of Green is a collaborative initiative to develop an open-source trustless standard for emission measurements of blockchains.

The Internet Computer is a layer-1 protocol that is developed by the DFINITY Foundation and aims to become a blockchain network that evolves the internet’.

ICP, the native token of the Internet Computer ecosystem, is down by more than 10% over the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $6.105.
