Chainlink announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now live on the Arbitrum mainnet (Arbitrum One).
Thanks to this latest development, CCIP provides Arbitrum and other Web3 developers with a secure, easy-to-use interface to build secure applications that can send messages, transfer tokens, and initiate actions across blockchains. By combining CCIP with Arbitrum One's ecosystem, developers can use CCIP to unlock a variety of use cases, such as cross-chain tokenized assets, collateral, gaming, data storage and computation. Projects including BetSwirl, Galaxis, Stafi, Raft, Polychain Monsters and others are already integrating Chainlink CCIP on Arbitrum.
Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is down by 2% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $6.656 at press time.
Arbitrum is a suite of scaling solutions on Ethereum that utilize Optimistic Rollup. It allows users to enjoy faster speed and cheaper transaction costs when interacting with web3 dApps. ARB, the native coin of the Arbitrum network, is down by 1% today and is trading at $0.8316.
