The Algorand Foundation announced via Twitter on Saturday that they have partnered with St. Vincent De Paul Disaster Services to launch Kare, a disaster relief platform built on Algorand.

The Algorand Foundation announced via Twitter on Saturday that they have partnered with St. Vincent De Paul Disaster Services to launch Kare, a disaster relief platform built on Algorand. Kare brings transparency and efficiency to relief disbursements for those impacted by natural disasters.

With Kare, St. Vincent De Paul Disaster Services can more effectively and efficiently distribute relief funds to those in need, reducing the administrative burden and ensuring that funds are distributed fairly and transparently.

Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products.” As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network."  ALGO is trading at $0.1874 at press time, down by more than 1% in the last 24 hours.
