Monivo Review: A Crypto Swap Aggregator Built Around Multi-Provider Rate Comparison

Crypto swap quotes can vary even for the same pair and amount.

Monivo brings quotes from multiple providers into one interface. This Monivo review examines how it compares offers, handles swaps, makes money, and where its limitations lie.

What Is Monivo.io?

According to the company’s explanation of how Monivo works, the platform is a non-custodial crypto swap aggregator that connects users with third-party liquidity providers rather than operating its own order book.

The platform supports more than 1,000 cryptocurrencies across over 30 blockchain networks and acts as the comparison layer. Users specify the assets, networks, and amount they want to exchange, while the platform checks which connected providers can process that particular request.

How Does Monivo Compare Crypto Swap Quotes?

Not every provider supports the same assets, networks, or transaction sizes. Monivo first identifies providers capable of handling the requested route and polls them for quotes.

It Focuses on Delivered Output

Rather than ranking providers by their advertised fees, Monivo compares the amount each offer is expected to deliver to the receiving wallet. Several factors can affect that amount:

The expected payout can vary with provider spreads and fees, network costs, the selected blockchain, and whether the quote is fixed or floating.

For a meaningful comparison, these conditions should remain consistent. Different amounts, rate types, or observation times can distort the result.

What Does Monivo’s Rate Data Tell Us?

Monivo publishes a crypto swap rate index that tracks differences between provider quotes under comparable conditions.

The index groups quotes for the same pair, amount, rate type, and observation moment, with at least two usable provider responses required for a comparable set.

In the 30-day Rate Index snapshot retrieved on August 31, 2026, at 06:50 UTC, the dataset contained more than 1,000 provider quotes from eight providers across 17 observed trading pairs and 171 comparable quote sets. The median best-to-worst difference was 2.55%, while the mean was 2.77%.

Among frequently observed pairs, median spreads included XMR to BTC at 3.65%, USDT to XMR at 3.07%, and BTC to ETH at 1.96%.

These figures should not be treated as proof that a particular provider consistently offers better rates. The index only covers providers connected to Monivo, while liquidity, network costs, and market conditions can change.

Hands-On Test: Comparing Live Monivo Quotes

To see how the comparison interface works in practice, we tested four routes on Monivo during the same review session. Each test used a send amount worth approximately $200 at the time of testing, with floating-rate quotes selected throughout.

We counted only providers that returned a positive, selectable payout in the interface. The best-to-worst difference was calculated as (highest payout - lowest payout) ÷ lowest payout, expressed as a percentage.

BTC to XMR returned six usable quotes, with expected payouts ranging from 0.382477 XMR to 0.401363 XMR. The difference between the highest and lowest displayed quote was approximately 4.94%.

ETH to XMR also returned six usable quotes, ranging from 0.378962 XMR to 0.396846 XMR. The resulting best-to-worst difference was approximately 4.72%.

ETH to BTC had the highest provider participation in the test, with eight usable quotes. Expected payouts ranged from 0.002411 BTC to 0.002470 BTC, a difference of approximately 2.45%.

USDT to XMR returned six usable quotes for the 200 USDT request. Expected payouts ranged from 0.377189 XMR to 0.396468 XMR, producing the widest difference in this test at approximately 5.11%.

These results are snapshots, not a permanent provider ranking, but they show that both provider participation and quote dispersion can vary by route and transaction size.

How Does a Swap Work on Monivo?

Once quotes are available, the transaction follows a relatively simple process:

  1. The user reviews the available offers and selects one.

  2. They enter the wallet address to which the exchanged asset should be sent.

  3. The user is shown the one-time deposit address for the selected provider’s order.

  4. The user sends the required funds from their own wallet.

  5. The selected provider performs the swap and sends the resulting cryptocurrency to the destination wallet.

The executing provider receives the deposit for the order; Monivo does not maintain a platform-controlled customer balance.

Accounts, Verification, and Fees

Monivo does not require a Monivo account to compare or start a standard crypto-to-crypto swap. Individual liquidity providers may still apply AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention, or identity checks in certain circumstances depending on the provider, transaction, and jurisdiction.

Fiat transactions processed through regulated payment partners may also be subject to separate identity verification requirements.

Monivo states that it does not add its own markup to provider quotes or charge account, subscription, or withdrawal fees. Instead, it may receive compensation from the provider that completes the swap. Network fees are paid to the relevant blockchain, not to Monivo.

Monivo Strengths and Limitations

From a user perspective, Monivo offers several potential advantages:

  • Multiple executable quotes can be compared in one place;

  • Offers are evaluated by expected wallet output;

  • The transaction flow is non-custodial.

There are also limitations to keep in mind:

  • Asset, network, and provider availability can change;

  • Floating rates may change before settlement;

  • A quoted payout is not the same as a completed transaction.

  • Monivo compares its connected providers rather than every swap venue in the market, so the strongest displayed quote means the best available offer among the providers returned for that request.

Who Is Monivo Best Suited For?

Monivo may suit users who want to compare multiple swap offers by expected wallet output without checking each provider separately.

To see how current offers compare for a specific pair and amount, users can explore Monivo’s crypto swap comparison and review the available routes before making a swap.
