“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nathan Allman, Ondo’s founder,” the company wrote in a statement shared on X.

A graduate of Brown University, Allman founded Ondo in 2021 after working on the digital assets team at Goldman Sachs.
Under his leadership, Ondo grew into one of the leading blockchain firms focused on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs).
The company launched several tokenized financial products, including USDY, OUSG, and tokenized equities through Ondo Global Markets, positioning itself at the forefront of bringing traditional financial assets onto blockchain infrastructure.
Ian De Bode Appointed CEO
Ondo confirmed that company president Ian De Bode will assume the role of CEO following Allman’s passing.
According to the company, De Bode has overseen strategy, product development, and day-to-day operations for more than two years.
“The mission of Ondo, Nate’s mission, has not changed,” De Bode wrote on X.
“If Nate were here, he would want us to continue executing with excellence. We will make him proud.”
The company did not disclose the cause of death and has not provided additional details surrounding the circumstances of Allman’s passing.
Ondo said it remains fully committed to advancing Allman’s vision of creating a more open and accessible global financial system through blockchain technology.
