Gemini partners with Apex Fintech Solutions to expand regulated crypto prediction markets to brokerage firms through its Gemini Titan platform.

Gemini to Bring Crypto Prediction Markets to Brokerage Firms via Apex

TL;DR

  • Gemini and Apex Fintech Solutions have signed a letter of intent to distribute regulated crypto prediction markets through brokerage firms.

  • Gemini Titan would become the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts offered through Apex’s futures commission merchant.

  • Gemini would handle execution and clearing, allowing brokerages to offer prediction markets without building their own exchange connections.

Gemini and Apex Plan Brokerage Expansion for Crypto Prediction Markets

Gemini, the cryptocurrency platform founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, is partnering with Apex Fintech Solutions to expand access to regulated crypto prediction markets through brokerage firms.

Under a letter of intent announced Monday, Gemini Titan would serve as the exclusive regulated venue for crypto event contracts distributed through Apex’s futures commission merchant to its brokerage customers.

The proposed arrangement would allow brokerages that work with Apex to offer cryptocurrency-based event contracts without developing direct connections to a prediction-market exchange.

Gemini would oversee trade execution and clearing, providing the underlying infrastructure required to support the products.

The companies said they expect to complete the details of the agreement in the coming weeks.

A futures commission merchant, or FCM, is a regulated firm that processes customer orders and handles funds used to trade futures and other derivatives.

Through Apex’s FCM, participating brokerage firms could provide their customers with access to event contracts listed on Gemini Titan.

Event contracts allow traders to take positions on the outcomes of specified events, including developments in cryptocurrency markets.

By handling execution and clearing, Gemini would reduce the operational requirements for brokerages seeking to add these products.

The partnership could increase Gemini’s distribution beyond its existing customer base while giving Apex-connected brokerages access to a regulated prediction-market venue.

Prediction Market Trading Reaches Nearly $24 Billion

Prediction markets have grown rapidly as traders increasingly engage with contracts tied to sports, politics, and cryptocurrency.

According to Pew Research Center, monthly trading volume on major platforms Kalshi and Polymarket reached nearly $24 billion by April.

That figure was up from less than $5 billion in September 2025, reflecting the speed at which event contracts have moved into mainstream trading.

Gemini’s proposed partnership with Apex positions the company to compete for a share of that expanding market.

Crypto companies are also exploring prediction markets as a way to diversify revenue beyond traditional spot trading.

Gemini has spent recent months establishing the regulatory framework needed to operate prediction markets in the United States.

In December 2025, Gemini Titan obtained a Designated Contract Market license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The approval allows Gemini Titan to operate a regulated derivatives exchange and offer event contracts.

In April, another subsidiary, Gemini Olympus, received a Derivatives Clearing Organization license from the CFTC.

That authorization allows Gemini to manage clearing and settlement for Gemini Titan internally.

Together, the licenses enable Gemini to oversee both the exchange where contracts trade and the infrastructure used to clear and settle those trades.

“We believe that predictions are the future of markets,” Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said.

The prediction-market collaboration builds on an existing relationship between Gemini and Apex.

In July, Gemini introduced commission-free stock trading for certain US customers. Apex Clearing Corporation acts as the custodian and clearing broker for that service.

The new agreement would extend the relationship into cryptocurrency event contracts, combining Gemini’s regulated trading infrastructure with Apex’s brokerage distribution network.

However, the companies have signed only a letter of intent, meaning the final commercial terms and implementation timeline remain subject to further negotiation.

Gemini Adds AI Tools to Prediction Market Platform

Gemini has also introduced artificial intelligence tools designed to support activity on its prediction-market platform.

In May, the company launched Command Center, an AI-powered intelligence feature integrated into the Gemini app.

The product uses SpaceXAI models to provide real-time market summaries, sentiment analysis, and personalized signals based on users’ portfolios and trading activity.

The feature is intended to help users interpret market developments as prediction contracts become a larger part of Gemini’s product offering.

If finalized, the Apex partnership would give Gemini another route to expand those offerings through brokerage firms and reach a broader audience of traditional investors.
