The Genesis NFT was the culmination of months of dedicated work from the design team to produce the first-ever NFT featuring a playable game

An exciting collaboration between leading NFT-based strategy platform Planet IX and disruptive 3D art & Gaming studio ArcadeNFTs has ignited enthusiasm for competitive esports and GameFi. Despite much work to be done, it’s opened the door to “merging a strategy-based game with on-chain Esports opportunities,” according to the crypto game’s CMO and co-founder Felix Bengtsson.

The deal has brought to light the significance of The Genesis Pinball NFT, which is the Mona Lisa of the company’s work. The Genesis NFT was the culmination of months of dedicated work from the design team to produce the first-ever NFT featuring a playable game.

The Genesis Pinball NFT

The NFT was released over a year ago, almost immediately selling out on the OpenSea marketplace. The Fact that the Pinball NFTs are the first of their kind has become a part of the blockchain and Web3 history, which will live on in the space and may be influential in shaping the future of gaming.

For those lucky collectors that own a piece of history, they won’t only be part of crypto history forever. But, also, they have continued to benefit from Genesis since it was released. Genesis NFT holders have enjoyed its interactive features, and now the strategic merger with Planet IX will see holders receive rewards from airdrops. Given that, those holding one of the 501 NFTs will see their value blow up in the coming years.

A Brief History Of ArcadeNFTs Genesis Pinball NFT

The project was initially developed in December 2020 and released in May 2021. The team concluded that they had worked on the project for so long that there was no need to rush the release date, and they continued to work on the NFT until August of that year. The main reason was to learn to code in solidity, meaning that ArcadeNFTs developers could launch the Pinballs on their smart contract.

The Genesis Pinball NFT was finally released on the 14th of August 2021, with the entire collection selling out in just 50 minutes—each selling for 0.89ETH. Leading up to the release, the 3D art & Gaming studio didn’t invest in marketing beyond simply announcing the release date through their social media platforms.

The lack of promotion led members of the ArcadeNFT team not even minting pinballs, thinking that the launch would be fairly underwhelming. The team was blown away by the reception of the release, with Pinball owners forever part of the history of on-chain gaming NFTs in Web3.

Pinball NFT Perks And The Future

An iconic NFT, bringing together blockchain technology and retro arcade games from the 80s, including references to movies such as the Goonies, ET, and the classic American Stand By Me. This NFT grail has continued to provide value to holders over the years, with Genesis owners receiving a free airdrop of every game ArcadeNFT has ever released.

Moreover, a large part of the negotiations with the Planet IX team centered around providing added value to Pinball holders. Pinball holders will be rewarded with airdrops after the merge has been completed. This equates to holders being gifted with a massive amount of products and assets for free on Planet IX.

An essential part of the negotiation with Planet IX was that Pinball holders would also be rewarded with airdrops after the merge. This means that Pinball Holders will continuously receive a massive amount of products and assets for free from Planet IX in the future.
